Neighbourhood Support Marlborough

Neighbourhood Support is in the process of trying to reach all citizens to encourage them to become members of Neighbourhood Support Marlborough (NSM).

In order to achieve this we are calling for two volunteers, at this time, to cover the streets of Blenheim distributing enrolment forms to every household. This information will then be entered into a ‘database’ for use by the Police and Civil Defence in the event of an emergency.

The volunteers will operate in pairs and will be transported to the streets they will cover that morning and will be picked up and brought back to the office at midday. They will also be supplied with a high visibility jacket, identification cards and a mobile phone.

We ask that the public cooperate with us and fill in the forms so that we can bring our ‘database’ up to date and also capture all those whom we haven’t as yet contacted.

After the recent earthquakes, floods etc I’m sure people can appreciate the value of Neighbourhood Support.
